Following these steps:

  1. Select the text or image you want to make a hyperlink.
  2. Right-click the selected text or image, then click Hyperlink. You can also right-click in a blank area of the document and click Hyperlink.
  3. The insert Hyperlink dialog box will open. You can also get to this dialog box from the Insert tab by clicking Hyperlink.
  4. If you selected text, the words would appear in the Text to display field at the top.
  5. Type the address you want to link to in the Address: filed.
  6. Click OK. The text or image you selected will now be a hyperlink.

Removing a Hyperlink in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint:

Right-click the hyperlink.

Click Remove Hyperlink.

Opening and Closing of Hyperlinked Data

When a hyperlink is created in the document you can open it to see the attached document/website.

  1. Open the document in which hyperlink is created.
  2. Press Ctrl + Click button go follow the link behind the hyperlink.
  3. The Linked document / website will be open.
